Award: 2013 ACO Craftsmanship Award
2013 Heritage Toronto Honorable Mention

A celebrated landmark in Toronto’s downtown core, the Dineen Building blends historic character with modern sophistication. Originally constructed in 1897 for William Dineen, this distinctive yellow-brick structure has stood for more than a century as a testament to late 19th‑century commercial architecture.
Designated a heritage property in 2008, the building underwent an extensive restoration in 2012, carefully reviving its historical features. The project included the reconstruction of the crown cornice, the refurbishment of more than 100 Renaissance Revival windows, and the meticulous restoration of interior details such as the JJ Taylor Vaults and original ceiling mouldings. Today, the Dineen Building offers a unique setting where history and contemporary design meet at the heart of Yonge Street.
