In 2000, George Robb Architect was retained to identify and design a new head office for CMAC, resulting in the selection of an 18,000 sq. ft. two‑storey site in north Etobicoke. The design provided 10,000 sq. ft. of immediate office space with capacity for future expansion.
The layout organized public and private realms around a central masonry wall and corridor, with secure committee rooms, shared meeting spaces, and offices positioned along the perimeter for natural light. The second floor featured a 2,000 sq. ft. reception area, executive offices, and a skylit staircase connecting both levels.
Completed in 2001, the project upgraded and adapted the existing building while planning for long‑term growth.
