Churchville Heritage Conservation District

Between 2006 and 2007, George Robb Architect was the Heritage Architect consultant for Bousfields Inc. Planning Consultant Firm undertaking the Churchville Heritage Conservation District Study for the City of Brampton.
Our role was to inventory and record the built architectural character of the site in order to provide a description of the character of the overall site and to assist in the preparation of guidelines and standards for ongoing revisions to existing buildings and new construction. These guidelines and standards were used to outline a new Residential Hamlet Two Zoning Classification. This zoning outlined the requirements for building setbacks, height, width, coverage, and density. The zoning described requirements for ancillary buildings (garages). The study was illustrated with standards for architectural features including windows, doors, porches, dormers, rooflines, etc.
