Residence at Waterdown

The Boyce House, a 1920s residence in Waterdown’s Heritage Conservation District, features a storey‑and‑a‑half design with a distinctive southwest tower and a detached coach house. In 2013, George Robb Architect was retained to design an addition linking the coach house to the main residence.
The project reconfigured the ground floor to include two bedrooms, an expanded living room, and a combined dining room/kitchen, while the second floor was rebuilt with higher walls and a discreet roofline to accommodate a master suite, studio bedroom, bathroom, and the existing tower room. A new stair and side entrance were added, and the coach house’s upper level was reconstructed as a family room.
