Kettleby Camp
Client: Kettleby Valley Camp
Project Completion: 2010

In 2009, George Robb Architect completed a site assessment and master plan for Kettleby Valley Camp, recommending a new lodge, pool, and change pavilions. The lodge, built on the west side of the site, anchors overnight and day programs with a new arrival area and courtyard. Designed for 120 campers, it includes a commercial kitchen, washrooms, showers, and open‑concept classrooms, while sustainable features such as composting toilets and low‑flow fixtures reduce water use.
The upgraded facility enabled year‑round programming, increasing summer participation by 50% to 300 daily campers and winter programs by 300% to 180 participants. Today, the camp offers a strong setting for education and environmental awareness within close reach of the Greater Toronto Area.
